Vemotion

What we did

Vemotion produce video streaming solutions that deliver live video and audio over low-bandwidth wireless networks. They asked us to support and develop their mobile offering, which encodes and decodes video on the device. The apps are built cross-platform in C# and deployed on both Android and iOS.

The solution

We took on the challenge of a complex field: high-performance, peer-to-peer H.264 encoding and decoding, alongside bespoke messaging, metadata and remote control of systems. The app runs on a wide range of Apple and Android devices, from standard phones and tablets to specialist Ex-rated, intrinsically safe equipment.

The result

Working with Vemotion's internal teams, we took over an existing codebase, improved its architecture, performance and quality, and delivered new features from their roadmap. This helped them win new business globally. We continue to maintain and extend the app and to advise on mobile.
